Indescribable Beauty!!!
Comic lovers and book lovers alike, don't waste another minute. This is a must-own item. This issue of McSweeny's, the Quarterly Publication produced by Dave Eggers (of "Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius" fame), is guest edited by Chris Ware, the astounding artistic force behind "Jimmy Corrigan, the Smartest Kid on Earth". And incredible though it may sound, the production value of this book is far higher than that of any of his previous works. You cannot imagine what a gorgeous, aesthetically pleasing volume this. I own thousands of books and the day this arrived it became the most attractive book on my shelves. The dust jacket alone is worth the price. But wait until you get inside! Every major comic talent worth noting is in there - and please understand when I refer to "comics", I don't mean Superman and Little Lulu. I am talking about the work of such visionary artists as Charles Burns, Dan Clowes, Robert Crumb, Rick Altergott, Richard Sala, Chris Ware, and Gary Panter.
This latest edition of McSweeney's feels like it was produced specifically with me in mind, and i can only say I'm grateful for it. Pleae buy this book if you love comics or care about books as things of beauty. You will not - can not- be disappointed.
