Synopsis
With its blend of gore and giggles, DEAD & DEADER channels horror comedy classics such as EVIL DEAD 2 and SHAUN OF THE DEAD. Dean Cain (LOIS & CLARK) stars as a Special Forces officer infected by a zombie virus. Despite the infection, Cain's character retains a shred of humanity and vows to stop the rest of the world from succumbing to the illness. This film stars genre favourites such as Dean Haglund (THE X-FILES), John Billingsley (STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE), and Armin Shimerman (STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE NINE). WILD THINGS 2 beauty Susan Ward also co-stars.

Dead and Deader isn't dumb
This a fun, made-for-tv movie and at such a low price is an absolute bargain.

The film has its fair share of gore, and the effects are good, especially for a TV movie, but essentially it is a comedy and aims for laughs more than scares (as you probably guessed from its naff title). Performances are reasonable with Dean Cain and Guy Torry playing well off each other. The script is decent although some of the comedy is a bit hit and miss and often cheesy.

Dead and Deader is quite an original take on the bloated zombie genre and as long as you don't like your horror too serious you should enjoy this movie.

Dead loss?
This movie is neither a seminal zombie flick or an especially funny comedy. If you liked Shaun of the Dead, this will come as something of a disappointment but if you haven't seen Simon Pegg's masterpiece, this will entertain you for a while. Really one for Dean Cain fans & the easily pleased.

dead and deader is a standard zombie film for scares you will not be grabbing hold of a pillow or loved ones arm . It was a watchable film it was funny in parts my favourite part was in a bar with a midget when the bar is overrun with zombies. so if you plan on being scared you will be dissapointed but in all a watchable film . If you want a scares and torment mind trippy . dvds out to buy I would say EDEN LAKE. SHROOMS. and for me a must when it comes out on dvd is CHILDREN a must have you will never look at kids in the same way again .I watched this in the cinema and couples where leaving the cinema.
