Editorial Reviews

Synopsis
For those who like their horror sliced up with clever humour, this flick should fit the bill. When a thief with zero luck screws up one heist, he finds himself sent over to Russia to even things out. But when that gig also turns sour, things go from miserable, to horrible, to downright supernatural in a bloodsucking, flesh-eating zombie kind of way. Stephen Dorff stars in this film that took the prize for best feature at the New York City Horror Film Festival and is full of laughs as well as blood.

Customer Reviews

Not as expected.2
This is my first review on Amazon & most likely my only. I felt compelled to warn people before purchasing this film. I bought this essentially on impulse after seeing it in the 'customers who bought this also bought:' section on here. The box art looked slick, the film having won awards and two positive quotes on the frontcover sold me on it. I was left disappointed. I was under the impression this was a horror-comedy but with only two actually funny parts in it and no scares im not convinced. With unlikable characters, a boring plot and a stupid choice of 'monster' i completely regret buying this film. Save your money or buy Severence, Feast or The cottage instead.

What on earth did I just watch?3

I just finished watching it, and have come to the conclusion that Botched has to be one of the craziest films ever! How the likes of Stephen Dorff and Sean Pertwee ever got involved I really don't know.

It tells the story of an unfortunate thief, Stephen Dorff, who is told by his powerful gangster boss, Sean Pertwee, to try and steal a rare and priceless cross from an enormous Russian skyscraper -after horribly failing his previous 'mission'. You guessed it: Events take a turn for the worst when he, and a group of others, somehow get trapped on the 21st floor with the weirdest killer imaginable!

Even though the film goes completely off-the-rails in parts, and it suffers from a severe lack of budget and acting talent, there are a few good jokes thrown in, and there's enough blood and guts to satisfy the gore-hound in all of us! Worth a look for those who haven't yet seen Severance or Shaun Of The Dead, but for those who have- I wouldn't bother with this one.

Not funny, not scary1
A mess of a film with no budget, style or script. Even for a DTV production this looks terrible. Inept on every technical level and dull, dull, dull.
