This list has not been complied in any particular order - it's more of a collection of fine art!

This is a personal preference - many seemingly refuse to count the comic strips. But for me - taken as a whole - they are the best Dr Who has EVER been. These are from the late 70s.

Funny how none of the actual TV episodes has appeared yet.

Not to mention this. A very philosophical drama in four parts, it is another highlight of Dr Who's original 26-year run.

An excellent conspiracy theory novel, which comes to admittedly preposterous conclusions about covered-up alien invasions and a time traveller called 'The Doctor'. What rubbish! But deeply engaging.

This is a vote for the extended, 'special edition' version of the story provided on the second disc of the DVD. Despite a slow beginning, this approaches true genius by the end.

Oft-neglected, the early years of Dr Who on television have none of the wild, weird sass of the novels and comics. But they got us to where we are today - and I love them for it.

... say, if you will, that it exemplifies a FEELING. The Green Death, and this as well, are in a way representative of what Dr Who essentially was at the time - and indeed, always is.

The Doctor is the ultimate hero; ageless, wise, gentle, funny, and strictly, infallibly moral. He is why Dr Who, as a genre, has proved itself time and time again.

So let me say it again. It's sometimes rubbish. But... I LOVE IT. I hope you do too.
