I liked this book a lot, and found it nothing like as gruesome as people say, that is apart from the bit with the baby in the hospital. You'll know what I mean!

Not great, to summarise: lots of pilots get shot down during WW1

A bit underdeveloped I thought, because he escapes from prison so many times there isn't enough space for the author to go into real detail of how he plotted each break, which was disappointing.

Never really got into this, despite it being well written and full of likeable characters

Man sits in a cave for about 400 pages then blows up a bridge

Amusing as always, Bryson recounts his childhood adventures

Yet another book where not much happens, but this has nice pictures to make up for it. Very enjoyable, but not good value for money, it only takes a few hours to read!
