	Goodbye Lenin! [2002] [DVD] Buy used from: £3.50 Some think Germans can't make comedy.They should see this,a very funny and touching film about an East Berlin family after the fall of The Wall in 1989.
	Downfall (2 Disc Edition) [2005] [DVD] [2004] Buy new: £4.48 / Used from: £2.99 iIt all comes tumbling down in 1945.Hitler as you've never seen him before,thanks to a stellar performance by Bruno Ganz.
	The Tin Drum [DVD] [1995] Buy new: £12.88 Great adaptation of Gunter Grass' novel about Oskar Matzerath and his refusal to grow in the Third Reich
	Metropolis - Masters of Cinema series [DVD] [1927] Buy new: £10.98 / Used from: £8.62 Still one of the best,and earliest,sci-fi films,even though the year 2000 didn't quite turn out like this.Inspired by Fritz Lang's first visit to New York.
	Run Lola Run [DVD] [1999] Buy new: £4.18 / Used from: £2.79 A gangster film seemingly inspired by MTV videos.Another blow to the "Germans don't do comedy" school of thought.
	Wings Of Desire [1987] [DVD] Buy used from: £6.99 A hymn to Berlin,a beautifully photgraphed film about angels,love and what it is to be human.Bruno Ganz is amazing.
	Das Boot - The Mini Series (2 Disc Uncut Version) [DVD] [1985] Buy new: £7.98 / Used from: £4.98 This is TV series(rather than the cinema release)edited into 2 DVDs.The nightmare of the Battle of the Atlantic as seen by a U-Boat crew.
	Nosferatu [1922] [DVD] Buy new: £13.88 / Used from: £8.50 one of the original horror films still worth watching 80 years on.Max Schreck("Terror")-crazy name,crazy guy!!
	Olympia [DVD] [1938] [Region 1] [US Import] [NTSC] Buy used from: £50.98 Not as effective propaganda as "Triumph Of The Will",but a much more enjoyable film.Introduces most of the techniques used to film sports on today's TV.
	The American Friend [1977] [DVD] Buy used from: £10.94 A hitman with a difference.Great performances from Bruno Ganz and Dennis Hopper.
	M - A Film by Fritz Lang [1931] [DVD] Buy used from: £12.95 Fritz Lang's great film about criminals who band together to catch a child killer before the police get him.Based on a true story,apparently.
	The Wonderful Horrible Life Of Leni Riefenstahl [DVD] [1993] Buy new: £13.88 The life and times of arguably the most influential(possibly the best)female filmmaker,propagandist and/or documentary maker of the 20th century.
	Aguirre, Wrath Of God [DVD] [1972] Buy used from: £15.44 Werner Herzog breaks into the limelight in this excellent film,loosely based on the spanish search for El Dorado in the 16th century.
	Paris, Texas [1984] [DVD] Buy used from: £3.19 Cheating here,it's an American film by Wim Wenders.Still great though,with a wonderful Ry Cooder soundtrack
