	Conviction : Complete BBC Series [DVD] [2004] Buy used from: £16.50 This may not be in every ones list, but it had me watching intensely to the end, unbelievable tightness throughout and brilliant performances by all actors especially Ian Pulston-Davies,
	Edge Of Darkness - The Complete Series [1985] [DVD] Buy new: £6.48 / Used from: £9.84 This was the first of the modern day political thrillers to have a great impact. winner of BAFTA drama series and actor ( the great Bob Peck)
	Blackpool [DVD] Buy used from: £14.81 Blackpool had to be in this list even though you might say musical/comedy/drama. The best of the modern day mini-series David Morrisey was born to play this part
	Our Friends In The North (4 Disc Set) [DVD] [1996] Buy used from: £150.00 I only saw this DVD recently and thoroughly enjoyed it. This really is an epic drama with fantastic interwoven stories(brilliant acting throughout)

	State Of Play : Complete BBC Series 1 [2003] [DVD] Buy new: £3.98 / Used from: £2.50 David Morrissey, Bill Nighy,John Simms and written by Paul Abbott, that says it all. A gripping tense conspiracy thriller
	Shooting The Past (BBC) [1999] [DVD] Buy new: £11.78 / Used from: £13.99 Stephen Poiakoff's best! wonderful performances by Timothy Spall and Lindsay Duncan, beautiful images and story
	Funland [DVD] Buy new: £10.88 / Used from: £6.49 Fantastic black comedy/drama, with exceptional acting again from Ian Pulston-Davies, Sarah Smart and co. This could only have worked in Blackpool
