About the Author
One of Britain's best-loved gardeners, renowned for his common-sense, practical approach, Geoff Hamilton authored many gardening books. He presented BBC2’s Gardener's World for 17 years and his beautiful, totally organic garden in Barnsdale, is a monument to his dedication to the preservation of natural resources. Geoff died in 1996.

best organic gardening book from master gardener
Great book for all gardeners, especially if you want to have a natural organic garden but even if you don't there is still great advice and information for all gardeners from the wonderful Geoff Hamilton (RIP) who was at the forefront of the organic gardening movement way before it became "trendy". This book was originally published in the 1980s!

I also recommend his three gardening series which are available as a boxed set DVD from amazon and relate to subjects in this book. The Geoff Hamilton BBC Collection (40th Anniversary Gardeners World DVD Box Set) The Ornamental Kitchen Garden, Cottage Gardens and Paradise Gardens are all great series and modern gardening show presenters are still using and demonstrating the same techniques used by Geoff today!
