Editorial Reviews

Manufacturer's Description
A much-loved item in British kitchens, the contemporary, sleek design of George Foreman grills are a "knock out" the world over.

Health-conscious and time-pressed families have been wowed by its unique sloped groove system, which keeps food above and away from the fat and channels it into one of two trays provided.

The versatile and easy-to-use grill seals in the delicious flavours of meat, fish steaks, burgers and vegetables while they cook simultaneously and evenly on both sides - a real time-saver, as it cuts most cooking times in half. The grill's ingenious floating hinges mean that thick chops, bacon rashers, chicken breasts and chunky vegetables all grill evenly.

Great for grilling burger with the family!5
It's great for a get together with family or friends!!
The only bad thing is that it requires a very special care, you will have to clean it while still hot, and with a cloth wet on oil.
The same thing before use it, you have to spread some oil to prevent the food to sticking to the grill, and to clean it, as you are not supposed to wash it with water or anything else.
I end up almost never using it because of the trouble it is, but when I do, it's worth it!!!! The food taste great!!!!

cool 4
nice little baby gorge good size and does what it says on the tin lean and mean i would say get one if you have been thinking about it, it does give off a bit of smoke if what your cooking is very fatty like bacon but i like it its cool. unlike my other its easyier to clean cos its small and its ideal if you live alone or with a partner

Cooks well, tricky to clean3
This is a review of the Junior grill, which, as the name suggests, is fairly small. If you put some meat/fish on there, you don't have much room left for veggies. That said, it does what it says on the tin, and does it well (and quickly since it cooks top and bottom simultaneously). I found that I generally had to reduce the cooking time slightly compared to the instruction booklet guidelines otherwise everything was coming out well done. Although it has adjustable hinges, this flexibility is fairly limited, so you have to make sure that everything you cook is approximately the same thickness - so use some forethought when putting your meal together. The top is an integrated bun-warmer (no sniggering at the back...) - warmer being the operative word, as it doesn't heat them much - if you like your buns toasted then this won't help.

Cleaning though is a bit of a pain. Best to clean it when still warm as that allows you to wipe off the grease without scrubbing. I've found myself cleaning it with paper towel, which isn't too environmentally friendly so I think maybe just a cloth will do the trick. And as another reviewer says, oil the cooking plates before and after cooking.

The drip tray is quite poor I thought - it doesn't really "snap" into place, so it's easily knocked and then the grease drips onto your desktop instead. Once you're aware of that it's easy enough to keep an eye on it though.

So I'd recommend for the cooking results, but caution on the cleaning...
