With a crisp 1024x768 resolution and an ultra-thin profile, the Samsung LW17M24CPX 17-inch LCD television with PC input broadcasts strikingly clear images while taking up a minimum of space in your living room, bedroom or workplace. The monitor's 150-degree (horizontal) viewing angle makes sure that no seat is a bad seat, especially when the unit is mounted on a wall. In addition, the monitor connects to a personal computer through its VGA input connector, letting users surf the web, check e-mail, or play movies streaming from a PC on the screen. The built-in PAL NICAM stereo tuner receives the standard television channels, while the digital comb filter separates the colour signals to minimize dot crawl and blurred edges, giving users sharp, focused images that look great regardless of the source.

As with many high-quality TVs, the LW17M24CPX makes flexibility a top priority, which is why users can easily alter the video settings to enjoy a custom picture that meets their needs. Variable picture settings include custom, standard, movie, and dynamic. The TV also provides color temperature adjustment for warm, cool, or neutral tones, along with a trilingual onscreen menu. Additional user features include a sleep timer, V-chip parental control, closed captioning, and an auto volume leveler.

The flexibility extends to the audio options, as users can choose one of several preset sound modes (standard, music, movie, speech, and custom) for broadcast through the built-in 5-watt speaker system (2.5 watts x 2). The monitor's MTS multichannel decoding separates audio signals for stereo reception, and also broadcasts a second audio program (SAP) when available. To connect the monitor to devices such as DVD players, game consoles, and camcorders, use the SCART socket, S-video and RF. PCs connect to the monitor through the VGA inputs.

Good value for money
Overall, very impressed. Works well straight out of the box. Set up is easy, if a bit tedious. I'd like more control over the sound though, there's only a choice of two modes. One thing I wish I'd known, this set comes with a wall-mounting bracket, so you don't need to buy one.

Excellent Value for money
Just bought this TV for our bedroom. Good quality picture and very easy to set up. I found the instructions easy to follow.

Overall satisfied with the product, but the sound quality is a little on the 'tinny' side, but if you only intend using this as a second set and not in the lounge , I dont foresee this is a problem.

Ok nothing more, nothing less
Bought this telly because I needed a 17" LCD and thought this one looked the part.
Although it is neat and tidy, it came with TERRIBLE instructions, and my remote control decides when it will work with the telly.
I am constantly pressing on the remote with no response from the tv, then 2 hours later I will press the remote and it does what I expect it to.

Can anyone out there advise me what would be wrong with this?
