A great book worthy of a great Ocean.
Divided into four broad areas; The Discoveries, Men of the Pacific, Colonization and The Pacific of the Twentieth Century, this book covers every element of the largest Ocean on earth from just about every conceivable angle. From the ancient to the modern, we have an outsize book containing 280 pages of invaluable information. Even some of the works of the artist Gauguin are reproduced.

With useful and relevant photographs on almost every page, this is a book which should answer every question you may wish to ask about the all-encompassing subject of the Pacific Ocean.

My one criticism is that some of the most recent photographs could be improved.
