Product Description

Dr. Wayne W. Dyer, affectionately called the "father of motivation" by his fans, is one of the most widely known and respected people in the field of self-empowerment. Manifest Your Destiny is a remarkable guidebook that show us how to obtain what we truly desire. In Manifest Your Destiny, inspirational leader and author Wayne W. Dyer explores the power of attracting one's needs and desires into one's life. Manifest Your Destiny is a stunning work that focuses on the ancient principle of manifesting through meditation. With characteristic insight and clarity, Dyer teaches the process of meditation as a way to streamline our thoughts, desires, and goals, and to bring what we most desire into our lives. Whether we realize it or not, we all struggle with built-in social barriers that obstruct our inner potential. When we fall into a dream state, we conceive of goals and desires that are more spectacular than those we entertain when 'awake', yet we always wake thinking, 'I can't do that.' It is this conditioned response that prevents us from achieving what we want, and it is this response that Dyer teaches us to overcome through the Nine Spiritual Principles of Manifesting, which clear away what constricts us and illuminate a new path to achieving our truest goals.

What you hold in your mind is what you get in your life.5
The essence of what Wayne Dyer tells us is that what you hold in your mind is what manifests in your life. It is does not require belief. It is simply a natural law that is already operating in your life. He tells us that what you really, really, really, really want you will get. This is not so new. Many people have brought this to our attention. What was enlightening to me was when, in his inimitable way, he went on to explain why it has so often seemed not to work in my life. He tells us that it is the same law at work. What you really, really, really, really don't want you will also get. That is, if you hold in your mind hating being fat (or being poor): hating being fat (or being poor) is what will continue to manifest in your life. If you hold in your mind jealousy of rich people: jealousy of rich people is what will continue to manifest in your life. If you want something: cut away all the jealousies, hatreds, self-doubts, etc., and simply want what it is you want, then ask for it, knowing with certainty that this law works. If you look honestly, you will see it is in fact already working in your life - all you have to do is to start directing it properly. An exellent book, also available in tape form from joint speaking forums together with Deepk Chopra.

Challenging the concept of self3
I have read three or four of Wayne Dyer's books now and I would rate this one somewhere in the middle. I feel that the author has been trying to consolidate his philosophy on manifesting over the course of his writings. While some concepts are consistent throughout his books there are some aspects which have evolved. This book presents a system of personal reflection and meditative practice which is aimed at manifesting those things you desire in life. While a lot of the ideas presented are easy to accept by anyone with a spiritual dimension there are aspects which could be seen as blasphemous by some. On a number of occasions the author implies and even states that the individual and God are in fact one and the same. If you feel this would challenge your own beliefs you will probably not feel comfortable with this book. However, the essence of what is being said is inspiring and the theme is definitely explored further and in a less confrontational manner in Wayne Dyer's The Power of Intention. Overall I would suggest that book is a more well rounded and consistent presentation of Wayne's philosophy.

One thing I would definitely recommend about this book is the fact that the author does give some instruction on the practice of Japa meditation. Dr Dyer lays great store by the use of Japa however in The Power of Intention omitted to tell the reader how to do it - which leaves you feeling quiet frustrated. If you want a reasonable description of this practice this book is helpful but a better book would be Getting in the Gap if all you want is information on Japa.

In response to the question does it work? It's too early for me to say categorically but, since trying it I have to admit that I have been surprised by the number of strange coincidences I have experienced relating to those things I have meditated about.

Bridges the spiritual and physical aspects of ourselves.5
Wayne Dyer continues to expand his spiritual horizons and, thus, our own. In this easy-to-read book on manifesting your desires, he explains in a very believable way how we can have whatever we want in life. Through visualization and meditation, he shows the reader how to ATTRACT into the physical what has already been created in the spiritual world!
