 Included on this Special Edition CD of 18 re-mastered tracks: The original album with songs exclusively written for Helen by Motown legend Lamont Dozier and (Boy) George O'Dowd & Roy Hay, and a deeply soulful cover of John Cale's `Close Watch'. Produced in the main by ZE Records stalwart Don Was, the album features heavyweight musical input from jazz legend Stanley Clarke and string arranger Paul `What's Going On' Riser.

 Bonus tracks never before available on CD including her debut Stax-flavoured top 40 debut `Love Lies Lost' and its gorgeous piano ballad b-side `Laughter On My Mind' featuring guest vocals from Boy George, as well as the Giorgio Moroder produced gem `Now You're Mine', her US club hit `Stuttering' and rare b-sides and mixes.

 A comprehensive booklet featuring rare pictures, single sleeves, full discography and exclusive liner notes from ex-Attitude editor Adam Mattera and the elusive Miss Terry herself (now exec producer of The Brits).

Blue Notes Special Edition
At last a re-issued CD that has improved on the original 'Blue Notes'. You get all the 11 original tracks plus 7 bonus tracks, including 4 other songs and 3 remixes. What a great voice Helen Terry has. There is a discography and some notes from Helen Terry on the re-issue. Her voice is quite simply outstanding. It ranges from great POP to her just belting out great songs from those bluesy vocal chords of hers. One stunning CD.

A true DIVA ...
Helen Terry .... one of the greatest all time Diva's! Stand out tracks include "Laughter On My Mind" (written by and featuring Boy George on backing vocals), "Love Lies Lost", "Now You're Mine" (from Electric Dreams) and "Act Of Mercy". Sadly "Over The Border" (a B-side to Act Of Mercy) is not featured on this CD which was one of my favorite Helen Terry songs. There are some questionable tracks included here which while sung really well lack the power we expect from Helen and sound dated. Had this album been written solely by Boy George as he did for Eve Gallagher this album would have been huge! Only 2 tracks on "Blue Notes" were written by Boy George with Roy Hay from Culture Club. Cover notes by Helen herself are sweet and a nice inclusion in this package. We miss your soaring vocals Helen! Helen's contribution to the 80's is unquestionable and a huge part of Culture Clubs success - without a doubt!

Finally!!!
One of the most underrated albums from the mid 1980's. This little gem "slipped under the music radar" and disappeared from trace. For a number of years, rare CD copies of this stunning debut album sold for mega bucks.
Helen Terry has one of the finest voices in the music industry, sometimes confused with fellow songstress, Alison Moyet. Fondly remembered for her classic session work with Culture Club, she finally branched out on her own in the mid eighties and released numerous singles including "Love Lies Lost", "Stuttering" & "Act of Mercy". Unfortunately, non of these her big pop hits, and by the time her stunning album was released in 1986, she was all but forgotten.
Cherry Pop Records have done us proud with this "Special Edition", we get all the tracks from the original release, plus numerous additional recordings and alovely colour booklet with notes by Helen!
Worth every penny.
