The gorgeously crafted Force FX Lightsaber really is an elegant weapon for a more civilized age. Not as clumsy or as random as a blaster, this makes other imitation lightsabers look like, er, imitations. Fully licensed by Lucasfilm, the limited edition Force FX is fashioned in gleaming metal with a durable polycarbonate blade, and it feels like a real lightsaber the par-sec you pick it up.

But here comes the good bit: once activated, the blade glows brightly and the Force FX reverberates with digitally recorded sound effects taken directly from the film, including power-up, idle-hum, swing, clash and power-down. The spine-tingling sounds are activated via five super-sensitive motion sensors, three of which are in the blade to detect movement and impact. The eye-popping light effects are produced by a string of 64 super-bright LEDs that ignite sequentially inside the permanently attached blade. The Force FX even comes with a handsome stand for tabletop or wall display. If this doesn't excite your inner Jedi, nothing will!

Still not convinced? We find your lack of faith disturbing, because you can even chose between Darth Vader's red saber from Star Wars, and Luke Skywalker's blue one from The Empire Strikes Back. Thank the force
Now, I wouldn't class myself as a serious collector, but i,ve wanted this lightsaber since i was 4 years old. I have to admit I bought this lightsaber on a whim, and as soon as i pressed confirm and buy I thought "oh S**t, what have I done!"
Well I need not have worried. When I recieved it in the post it was like being a little kid again, it was wonderful. That said, this ain't a toy, so you have to treat it with respect or else it'll break. a little bit of control when playing with it, don't crash and bash it around too much!
The sound effects are superb, from the moment you ignite the blade to the moment it retracts its an experience not to be missed.
Most of the full size replicas cost more than i get paid in a month, but this one is just as good, and for a fraction of the price. The detail is fantastic, and the feel unsurpassingly good, its a million times better than those old telescopic placstic toys I used to have as a child. This thing is in a league of its own.
I could ramble on forever about how good this product is, but all I can say is: I ,oved it so much I ordered the Vader Saber the very same day. Even if you're not a dedicated Star Wars fan, you have to have one of these, it will bring you hours of fun and you'll not regeret it. If you don't belive me, go to Play.com and read the reviews there. (the lightsabers are also cheaper there, hush, hush)

different to anakins?
most people dont seem to point out wether it is differnt or the same to master replicas anakin lightsaber. i now have lukes because i lost anakins and i think the hilt is slightly different, the power up switch is different too. the motion sensors seem more responsive too, so overall a slightly better force fx lightsaber. (cheaper on play.com though)

AMAZING
Well what can I say, this is the real deal, when you first swith it on it's like a real lightsaber...Then the fun begins when you swing about with it, it makes the authentic noises!! And the power down function is just like the real thing.Many of my friends are jealous with good reason.
This is a MUST for anyone who loves star wars!!
