Islam Explained: Enlightening and Thorough
Despite the academic style of the book, and the large quantity of detailed research findings, this book is eminently readable. And it is well-worth reading. It will open your mind to a whole world that you may not have been aware of. It is very instructive material for the most part and, if learnt, provides a thorough understanding of its topic.
ISIC's report reveals the internal dialogue of the Islamic community, rather than the media-received external monologue. Some of the comtributors appear somewhat prejudiced and do not fully explain or analyse information. However, for the most part it is an impartial and analytical work - one of the only such works on Islam in Britain to date.
