This time, he tries the coolest sport under the sun - beach volleyball - while helping to solve a hometown mystery. When summer arrives and Andrea Framm's best friend moves out of town, she and Buddy decide to try and make new friends by joining the local volleyball team. Meanwhile, a rash of mysterious crimes have been puzzling everyone and all the paw prints seem to point to Buddy. So as Andrea works on gaining some new friends, it's up to Buddy to lead the authorities to the real culprit.
