Has significantly reduced the problem
I was rather concerned by the review that said that a perfectly harmless moth had been caught in a trap - but this has not occurred in my house, and as no other moth reduction solution has worked for me I am recommending it in spite of that concern.

I first purchased a pack of these traps due to an absolutely ghastly clothes moth infestation that had already destroyed a collection of much-loved Persian and Peruvian carpets and left holes in a couple of old but favourite Cashmere jumpers before I realized what was happening.

What the description on Amazon doesn't make clear at time of writing, but which is spelled out on the box, is that the sticky sheet is infested with a pheremone which attracts only the male of the species. This depopulates the male moths meaning that females have no partners with which to breed, and this in turn causes a downturn in the entire population. Eggs will of course hatch and the traps will then need to trap a new generation of males. It is quite a long process. Each of the traps lasts for around three months and must then be replaced. I have kept them going for over three months and am still catching large numbers.

Please note that they are VERY sticky. Don't get anything else attached to them - fabric can be pulled away without damage, but tissue, plastic bags or similar are no match and part of it stays stuck to the trap, which reduces the effectiveness of the trap.

This is the only product that has worked for me so far, but don't expect an over night extermination - it is a longer process to undermine the breeding population.

Works well
We have a large number of clothes moths in our house and are for ever squishing them whenever we see them. Last year we deployed several of these traps in strategic places and caught loads. I'm just ordering another batch for this season.

Very effective
We had an infestation of moths and these traps helped eradicate them, scores of them were caught in days. If only we had these traps before our nice clothes had been eaten...
