A little treasure
The description of this book is what sold it for me. It is enchanting and I am really looking forward to reading it with my 2 young children this coming Christmas. The letters and little extras that are included, just give this charming book that extra sparkle.
My only niggle, is the size of the book. It's fairly small, and so the enclosed letters are also small. It would be lovely in a bigger size, but still a fantastic buy.
Its fabulous
I really love this book bought it for my four year for Christmas i have had a look through it and its so sweet i cant wait to give it to him and hope i can hold on till Christmas lots of small little letters to and from Santa in small envelopes so sweet.
A Christmas favourite for years to come.
This is a lovely book with gorgeous illustrations which my children have loved having read to them regardless of the time of year. It starts with Holly and her little brother Billy preparing for Christmas and Holly deliberating on what present she would like. She writes a series of letters to Santa and receives replies in the form of little envelope encased letters which are attached to the book pages. Along with these letters are little gifts in the form of a mini advent calender, a Christmas decoration and a card of reindeer jokes. There are others as well.
You eventually find out what Holly asks for in the last few pages along with a special gift in the last envelope.
A charming book. I would also recommend the sequel 'Dear Father Christmas Get Well Soon'. Another reviewer complained about the size of the letters in the first book but the second is bigger and the envelopes less fiddly.
