Samsung YP-Z5 2GB
Did a lot of research beforehand & almost bought a creative until I saw the size! The YP-Z5 exudes quality & with a quoted 35 hour battery life it sold itself. I have used it more or less constantly on a return flight to New York & is still showing over half charged. Sound quality from the supplied headphones is excellent with plenty of bass although ear bud type may be more comfortable. Menu`s are user friendly & colour screen a nice size. My son prefers it to his ipod nano!

Well impressed
If your looking for your first Mp3 player look no further, after a lot of research and trying a few out this was by far the best. You get to hear all abut the big names in the Mp3 and ipod world like Apple etc but they are not always the best one to go for. I was quite suprised to find Samsung made an Mp3, but the unit is solid and well made, and the functions are easy to use. With the large colour screen and massive battery life go for it!!! You wont be disapointed.

Ipod second to Z5
I've never been a fan of ipod nano's I'm one of the few who really dislikes the itunes software so it was a relief to see this little gadget hit the market, it's simple to use(interface similar to nano) although the touch sensitive pad isnt as acurate as the classic scroll wheel it is still very good. One thing I noticed was the formatted capacity was greater than the ipod nano, 1.95gb over 1.65 meaning although they are both 2gb players this one holds more music. The volume also goes louder and the battery life double that of the ipods. If you want a compact mp3 player but don't want to jump on the ipod bandwagon this player is better, louder, sexier and most of all doesn't use itunes.
