About the Author
Raymond Briggs studied at Wimbledon Art School, the Central School of Art and the Slade. Many of his books are now classics and some - THE SNOWMAN, FATHER CHRISTMAS, FATHER CHRISTMAS GOES ON HOLIDAY and WHEN THE WIND BLOWS - have been made into successful films. Raymond Briggs lives in Sussex.

Clear illustrations and engaging text
Very good for a school age child. Toddlers and very young children would enjoy listening to Mum & Dad read this, while older children would find it an easy read. Can be linked to the film which is nice.

A great classic!
It's not Xmas untill you read The Snowman! An absolute classic that I loved as a child and this year I had the opportunity to share with my 2-year-old son. A great story with wonderful images that captivates every young or old mind.

Always hard to explain the end though :)

not the film...
We got this as an add on to the dvd and that is how it works best.Images lovely but too few and you wouldn't get the magical aspect of the story by this edition alone.
