An absolute delight. That rarity in movies for children - witty, clever, warm and even moral - a winner that bears repeated viewing.

One of the reasons I went to see the stage show of "The Producers" was the pairing of Nathan Lane & Lee Evans - see their comedic genius and timing in this anarchic and genuinely funny film. Catzilla!

Speaking of old-fashioned, here's a little gem that's gone criminally unnoticed. Campbell is on hand to stop Timothy Dalton selling the Rocketeer invention to the ultimate nasties. Swash that buckle!

Could have been so cheesy but isn't - good sketches where the scary stuff becomes funny - a nice film that has you routing for the fang-family in the end.

Grown-up film with a child-like joy at heart - this is a triumph-over-adversity story - beautifully filmed - with an exceptional cast - especially Chris Cooper who nurses the horse back to health.

Clever, inventive, funny - this little peach has them all - and Jim Broadbent and John Goodman as Little & Large. A top family watch you'll visit again and again.

Beautiful and educational - narrated by the wonderful tones of Morgan Freeman who could make a phone book sound interesting.

A combination of great story (Dahl), lead actresses (Margoyles & Lumley), music from Randy Newman and superb voice characters - especially the endlessly witty Richard Dreyfuss. Funny and uplifting.

What isn't to love about the genius of these great creations and Aardman's skill and beauty in what they clearly love to make. A fantastic British creation to equal anything Pixar can chuck at us.

1st and best in the series - fun parents, days off school to go on adventures, gadgets to do in monsters - and a truly great bad guy in Alan Cumming. Huge fun for all.

3 ghoulies with great lines & scenes, the marshmallow Casper, Eric Idle with Cathy Moriarty funny, Pullman & Ricci too. Doesn't date and like Ghostbusters works its way into your heart.

Beautifully filmed, this children's secret world of nature and flowers and wonder unfolds so sweetly that it gets to you. Old fashioned for all the right reasons. A gem.

Fun, superb effects, cool cast - my kids loved this. It's the same territory as Jumanji, but with better graphics, Stiller so likeable and Robin Williams superb once again.
