Synopsis
Building on the success of Haynes' two previous titles in this series, which covered the 1970s and 1980s, this book takes a nostalgic look at the 1960s. Offering the same combination of informative text, race statistics and glorious colour photography, it brings alive the heroic era of Jim Clark, Graham Hill, Stirling Moss, Jackie Stewart, John Surtees, Bruce McLaren, Jack Brabham and Jochen Rindt. For many fans, this was the era when Formula 1 was at its peak - thrilling and dangerous, but still a sport.

A Walk Down Formula One Memory Lane 1960-694
Summary: Stunning visual record of Formula 1 racing in the 1960's.

This is an amazing book. It is exactly as the publishers synopsis indicates - a truly wonderful photographic account of Formula One racing during the 1960's. Some photo's are a bit on the blurry side - but these are made up in quantity and variety and there are some absolutely stunning photo's of the era. Most of the images are backed up with interesting anecdotes that provide highly entertaining and informative reading.

The book is very well laid out - each year is preceded with a short and concise summary of events that take place that year and is concluded with a page of data covering teams and drivers, results etc. Very concise and not overdone as is the case with so many books of this type.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who cherishes the memories of the Formula One era of the 1960's.
