Customer Reviews
Made in a hurry! Windows is just a footnote. Worse, new features not tested at all!!!
Well, the number of pages was impressive. But once you start looking into the book, you'll quickly notice that it is all about Acrobat 8 on Mac OS X. And even that isn't really complete.
90% of the users have Windows, so skipping these users completely and making them just a footnote is certainly a disservice. But even if you are a Mac user and don't care about Acrobat 8 on Windows. Authoring of multimedia doesn't work on Mac OS X and the author doesn't even care about it. It was neither tested nor mentioned.
Shared Reviews are new in Acrobat 8 Professional, but apparently there was no time to test the software thoroughly before finishing the book. If he had done so, he would have certainly noticed that this is new and different from the previous version.
To put it in a nutshell, it is very frustrating to have purchased this book.
