About the Author
Philip Kerman is an internationally recognized expert on the use of the Web and multimedia for training and entertainment. He frequently presents at Macromedia User Conferences, contributes articles to Macromedia User Journal, and he has taught Flash and other Macromedia authoring tools in workshops around the world. Good Intro 4 beginners
Bought this as a newbie to Adobe CS3, and for an all round intro to Flash it's ok. The tone of voice can be annoying at times, as it the the constant use of "that is" to support technical sentences with some layman's language. I would recommend this as intro, and then you should buy a special book for the area that you want to specialize in.

flash in 24 hours??... er yer
Yes you'll learn flash in 24hours but... not as much as you could learn. This book is patronisingly simple and repetative. It is a sumewhat useful book, however not much more than what one can find for free on online tutorials. Most of the book is a skim read. This book offers some useful tips however just not enough useful information for its size. My biggest dissapointment with this book is that entire sections and exersises were repeated word-for word and gone completly unnoticed by the publisher.

This book is an ok resource but I probably would not buy this book if given the opportunity again because i find it insufficient
