Customer Reviews

A good guide for basic information4
Mediterranean Wildflowers (Pocket Nature)

Having just returned from the South of France, I had time to read through the book from cover to cover. All the basic information needed is provided and, for a pocket guide, it's colourful and good for basic references. I would have appreciated further details pinpointing the actual countries in the Mediterranean where particular flowers may be found to help with looking out for what to expect. Certainly good value from Amazon.

Brilliant, just what I needed5
Now living in the South of France I kept gasping at the diverse and beautiful wild flowers growing in the countryside. Many were unfamilier and as I have always been interested in wildlife I had to have a book to help me identify them all. The pictures and info. are clear and detailed-wonderful and small enough to take out with me.

Most useful!4
I bought this book to use on our most recent trip to the Alpujarras in Southern Spain. I'm a total novice when it comes to wild flowers, so the colour coded arrangement of the book was a real help. I managed to identify the majority of what I saw whilst out on walks, with one or two exceptions. But that is probably the price you pay for a book that is small enough to fit in a pocket.

Verdict - A great compact field guide for a beginner, or for someone more experienced but new to the Mediterranean area.
