Customer Reviews
Superb photographs, informative text
The bulk of the book is a superb collection of just about every type of weather phenomenon you can think of - particularly different types of cloud. Each colour plate has an informative description, telling you how the phenomenon originates and what it means (e.g. forecasting using the cloud types). Before the photographs is a short collection of essays on the weather that virtually provides a stand-alone introduction to the weather, what causes it, and extreme weather events. Overall exceptionally useful for anyone interested in the weather.
Doesn't Get Better
I am very interested in weather and when purchasing this book, i wasn't let down. The book has wonderful pictures and at least a page of How, Where and When it happens. The layout is a bit confusing because the pictures are in the middle and the text is in the back, but letting something like that put you off is a big mistake. From Basic to Expert this book has it all.
