Useless!!!
There are alot of boxing books on the market and there are alot of fitness/workout/bodybuilding books on the market too. Unfortunately this is one to avoid as it neither useful for boxing or working out in general. I've been working out for years and boxing as well and i found this book to be of no help watsoever. It's short, far from comprehensive, is actually full of counterproductive advice and is full of pictures of a guy performing exercises with bad form (incredibly). A weight regime for boxing needs to be well thought out, productive and actually tailored to a boxers needs (ie speed, power, agility, stamina etc)however this comes accross as a poor weightlifting guide with the words boxing and a few pages on it added as an afterthought.
If you after a decent grass roots training book go for the Lonsdale Boxing Manual (which has a decent weights section),as its probably the best one yet.
For Beginners
this book is basic and just for beginners. Anyone looking for anything innovative will be disapointed. in fact this book is behind the times, taking into consideration the advancement of strength and conditioning which includes Plyometrics and resistance training.
review
A very good buy. This book offers various techniques and training exercises for maximum athletic performance. In my time I have bought many weightlifting books and this is most certainly among the best of them.
