Product Description

It's generally agreed that the most important part of the golf swing takes place in the impact zone, the two inches before impact through the four inches after impact. Now, for the first time ever, PGA Tour professional and CBS broadcaster Bobby Clampett, one of the most recognizable people in contemporary golf, gives amateur golfers the instruction needed to understand the impact zone and hit like the pros. "The Impact Zone" includes not only instruction and drills but also chronicles Bobby's struggles with his own game, a sweet-and-sour, personal lost-and-found golf journey, his emerging insights, the relearning and rebuilding of his swing, and his slow-but-steady discovery of the golf swing's principles. Every golfer can improve his game using the instruction in this book.

Customer Reviews

One of the greatest golf books. And the most practical without doubt5
If you want to know why your ball striking is not as good as it should after having read and applied many books and methods this is your book. It concentrates in the real moment of truth -IMPACT- and the real fundamentals for great ball striking (flat left wrist at impact, forward swing bottom, loading, lagging and swing plane). No matter how your swing looks, what really matter is to do all these stages correctly. This is why different tour pros have different swing types (flat, upright, arms, body, hips, rotational) but all they make incredibles shots. The five things all they have in common are the real ESSENTIALS of the swing. This book is like a simplified version of "The Golfing Machine" for dummies: it explains easily the essentials and makes a funny time reading the whole book.

If you want my recommendation: I encourage you to read this book. You will never regret of it, and your scores will improve quickly. Just the use of the Aiming Point Technique will get solid ball contact and improve your game tremendously.

If you want to read more reviews search inside Amazon.com : I don't understand why this book have 37 excellent reviews in the US website and in the European Amazon website this is the first one. This is what encouraged me to write this comment. Hope this help

The Impact Zone5
At last a book that explains what golfers have actually been wishing for, how to hit the ball through impact

Keep your left wrist flat!5
This is the best instructional golf book I have bought, and believe me I own a lot. The content in this book has been rehashed from the original"golfing machine" by the underrated Homer Kelly. If you want to learn true golf, get a copy.
