Product Description

In The Complete Book of Zen, Shaolin grandmaster Wong Kiew Kit explains the principles and practice of Zen with a clarity that can only come from true understanding. Zen is the mystical essence of civilisation. Zen training and practice may also enhance concentration and emotional balance, help reduce states of chronic and degenerative disease, allow inspiring glimpses of cosmic reality and ultimately lead to supreme spiritual fulfilment. This book gives an expert account of the origins and development of Zen, and then outlines a series of exercises that offer the reader both a spiritual appreciation of the practice and also an actual physical experience of Zen. Irrespective of religion or spiritual beliefs, The Complete Book of Zen allows every reader to explore their spiritual potential.

Excellent Introduction to Zen and Bhuddism in General5
This is an excellent book. The history and basic principles of Zen are covered in an informative and concise way. The writing style is simple and direct with much humour. Several practical meditation, Chi-Kung and Martial Arts exercises are also illustrated clearly and their relevance to meditation and achieving enlightenment is explained.

concise, easy-to-read, enjoyable.5
This is the best book that I have read on the subject of Zen.

This 300 pager contains a lot of information (e.g. The various exercises for paving the way to an awakening, or maybe even enlightenment. The use of Zen in the many forms of Buddhism, and more.). I do not think that the author could have written this book more clearly. It is a complicated subject, but the book is very enjoyable and easy to read.

I have read other books by Sifu Wong Kiew Kit, and would not expect anything else.

Good resource for Zen beginners.5
Particularly easy book to read. Informative and easy to understand language. Wong Kiew Kit explains the most difficult aspects of Zen Buddhism in a way that even beginners will be able to grasp.
