About the Author
Mark Wilson Jones is an architect in private practice and an architectural historian. He has studied numerous Roman sites around the Mediterranean and published a series of groundbreaking articles on ancient buildings.

Very good book
This is one of the best books on Roman Architecture I have ever read, and I would recommend it to everyone, both students doing courses and the 'general reader'. Mark has lots of common sense, which most archaeologists lack, and also practical experience of architecture, which means he is able to approach buildings in a new way.
