Are you looking for a book that focuses on just the most important and most useful stuff about your iPod (including the iPod touch, the nano, shuffle, and the iTunes Store)? Well, this is it!
There are basically two kinds of iPod books: (1) The “tell-me-all-about-it” kind, which include in-depth discussions on compression algorithms and tutorials on how to export your playlist in Unicode format. (2) Then there’s this book—a “show-me-how-to-do-it” book. Scott shows you step by step how to do the things people really want to learn about their iPods, and he uses the same casual, conversational style that has made him the world’s #1 best-selling technology author. This book focuses on just the most important, most requested, most useful things so you can start having fun with your iPod today. Right now! Plus, there’s only one topic per page, so if you want to know how to do something, you turn to that page and it shows you how to do just that one thing. It's a simple approach, and people really love learning this way!
As an added bonus, you can check out the best iPod accessories by visiting Terry White's Tech Blog (http://terrywhite.com/techblog).

From the Back Cover
There is no denying it: With the introduction of the iPod and iTunes, Apple changed the face of music. While the iPod and iTunes are user-friendly, figuring them out for the first time can be tricky. Plus, they can do way more than meets the eye. In this fully updated best-seller, award-winning author Scott Kelby delivers what users need to know to get up to speed fast on Apple's popular iPod digital audio players and iTunes software. Through full-color illustrations and simple step-by-step instructions, readers will learn all about the iPod touch, equipped with a multi-touch interface, 3.5-inch widescreen display, and WiFi Web browsing; the iPod nano, featuring a sleek new design, a refined interface, and a built-in accelerometer that automatically switches to Cover Flow view when rotated and goes into Shuffle mode when lightly shaken; the iPod classic; the iPod shuffle; and the new iTunes 8, which includes the breakthrough Genius feature, letting you create playlists from songs in your music library that go great together, as well as the ability to now purchase television programs in stunning high definition. Scott provides the basics of how to share music between Macs and PCs; sync iTunes-created playlists as well as iPod-created voice notes; burn large playlists to CDs; download and watch videos; and more. Best of all, Scott has peppered the guide with tons of time-saving tips and tricks that typically can only be gleaned through hard-won experience.

Customer Reviews
Even better than the Rough Guide
I like Scott Kelby's books. They are easy to read, well-laid out and clearly illustrated with colour photographs. His updated book on the iPod range is great - full of tips and tricks that I found useful - even as a reasonably experienced user of the products now. Particularly good on hidden gems in the iTunes store; this book is deceptively comprehensive, although one minor complaint is that it doesn't go into much detail on how to move your music library from one computer to another. However - combined with the Rough Guide (reviewed separately) - you'll have a pretty comprehensive guide to the world of iPods and online music. Thoroughly recommended
Cool book for novices and advanced
Have read this book from the public library and it is indispensable so have now ordered my copy from Amazon. It is clear and concise and well illustrated and has helped me explore the potential of my i Pod.
Concise, comprehensive and comprehensible
This gem of a publication tells you everything you need to know - including how to wake 'em when they fall asleep.
Buy this before you buy your iPod and you'll have all the answers before you know the questions.
