Has it all!!
I love Sandra Brown. I'm seldom disappointed. This is one of the best I've read by Sandra. I go to the library and head first for her books. I've exhausted most of them. This is a captivating, suspenseful, steamy story. I generally don't like "romance" novels, but Sandra always has so many twists, turns and unexpected surprises intertwined. I was sad to come to the end. Her books keep you thinking about the characters even after you've finished, trying to imagine how the story would continue. BRAVO!
alpha all the way.
This has to be one of the best romance books i have ever read, with a little suspense thrown into the mix for good measure. It centres around the budding relationship between schyler (pronounced skyler),a wealthy and priveleged woman, and Cash a mysterious mean and moody type who lives a simple and solitary life. Although both parties fight their attraction to each other, the sparks that fly whenever they are together cannot be ignored.
The thing i like most about this book is Sandra Browns portrayal of Cash. He starts out mean, moody, tough and passionate, and he never really changes, even towards the end of the book, i found that this only added to his appeal. I'm sick of reading books where the alpha male is all deliciously brooding, and passionate at the beginning, but then undergoes some kind of total personality transplant as soon as a pretty simpering female is introduced to the plot, spouting poetry, and announcing their undying love every five seconds. Why some authors feel the need to emasculate their hero's to enable them to fall in love is beyond me. Although the scenes between Cash and Schyler were fantastic, (the sexual tension was perfectly maintained)it wasn't all the book had to offer. With a lot of stories of this ilk i find myself skimming the 'boring bits' to get to the next hot love scene. That wasn't the case with this book as i was totally engrossed from start to finish. If you already like Brown then this story is a fantastic mix of her earlier romance stories and her more recent crime based novels. I heartily recommend this book to anyone who likes a great romance where the hero is Alpha all the way.
The steamiest, sexiest, novel by Sandra, I loved it.
Slow Heat in Heaven is the steamiest, sexiest novel I have ever read by Sandra Brown, I loved it. The story kept my body tingling, heart pounding, my imagination working overtime. She makes the reader feel the sexual tension, the angry, the disbelief, the whole nine yards. I love this book so much, I can't give my girlfriend back her copy until I get a copy of my own. I can't stop rereading it.
