A work of art.
This book covering paint effects and trompe l'oeil is simply stunning. As a professional decorative painter, I have a lot of books in my library, but this one stands out from the rest. The effects are beautiful and the instructions are clear and concise. The book may appear expensive, but it is probably the best investment you will ever make if you are serious about paint effects. It is a very grown up book, it means business and is not for those simply looking to decoupage a piece of furniture. This book is for you if you are serious about developing your paint effect skills and want to learn how to do so from two masters of the art.

A wonderful book, but at a price. I found Kevin McCloud's Complete Decorator had most of the same information at a much lower price. However, a book to treasure. Ideal solution: buy them both!

The Handbook of Painted Decoration
Brilliant! This book just about covers the lot, there is a great depth of understanding on the subject's coverd, alied to this the use of colour photo's just top's the whole book off nicely.
This is one to keep for a very long time, this information will become scarse in time, or at best, badly practised and executed, use this book's information and produce high quality results.
