Synopsis
Tanya, mysterious raven-haired dancer in a rustic Mississippi tavern, little knew that she was really the Princess Tatiana from far-off Cardinia. When bold, golden-eyed Prince Stefan came to claim her as his own, she spurned his affections while inflaming his royal blood with a fiery passion.

Fantastic fairy tale that you won't want to end5
This is such a beautiful book! It truly is a fairy tale, but it's written well and it's all completely believable despite the fantastic plot line. I've read this book many times and it's pure escapism. The characters are great; you'll fall in love with them, and you really won't want this book to end. If I could jump into any one of Johanna Lindsey's books, this would be the one I'd chose!

superb!5
I absolutely loved this book. This was the first book I read by JL. It was very romantic, classic can't get the girl or the guy until it's almost too late. Tanya was awesome, so was Stefan. I loved it. I wish there would be another book for Tanya and Stefan.

Friendly, fun characters and an interesting plot.4
Almost all of the books I've read by Johanna Lindsey I've liked but of course there are exceptions to every rule. This one is on my top ten list though. I liked the characters because both the hero and the heroine were stubburn but they were people I could relate to. I find that a lot in her books. I felt the plot was interesting because it took you to more than one setting and described some of them. This made the book even more special. I rate it an 8 because though it's on my list there were some parts I didn't like. Including how Tanya was treated by her "father."
