A wonderfully engrossing new novel from this well-loved author.
About the Author
Marcia Willett's early life was devoted to the ballet, but her dreams of becoming a ballerina ended when she grew out of the classical proportions required. She had always loved books, and a family crisis made her take up a new career as a novelist - a decision she has never regretted. She lives in a beautiful and wild part of Devon where she loves to be visited by her son and young family. www.marciawillett.co.uk
Customer Reviews
Trying to recapture the past.
So poignantly written and how beautifully Willett intertwines the happenings of the 1970s with those of the first decade of the twenty first century and covers the lives of two - almost three generations of a family. Their lives on the Devon moors are described with warmth and colour and ventures into Truro, Rock and Padstow are full of life. Reader you will not escape without a lump in your throat as you become a part of the story of the Bodrugan family and when you turn the last page and say Goodbye to them you will miss them. Another Willett triumph.
My view of Marcia Willett's The Way We Were
The Way we Were left me with a warm glow. Beautifully written as is the case with all Marcia Willett's work. Lovely to read on a cold winter evening.
