Customer Reviews

Organizing your home in a way pleasing to the eye5
This beautifully-illustrated book was very refreshing. It shows simple, and inexpensive, ways of making each room look picture-perfect. In a few hours, my home looks far prettier, and the ideas are easy to effect with junk shop finds. The photographs are inspiring, and up to date. Organizing should be an aesthetic pleasure and Martha Stewart certainly provides the means to do it in the minimum time. Children would surely enjoy being asked to help as well, for example, by making hand-made labels, decanting products into pretty containers, etc.

A lovely book, and a good choice for a Christmas present or wedding present as it is so optimistic.

If I had one wish - I would be Martha Stewart!5
For those unititiated, Martha Stewart is the epitomy of a Housewife. She cooks, makes things, dresses and flower arranges better than anyone should, and now she obviously tidies as well. In this book she explains how we could organise our lives in every room in the house, every drawer full of junk, every wardrobe full of jumbled clothes and even how to fold towels correctly. I think if I followed this book to the letter I would end up more neurotic than I am at present, but I have have given it 5 stars. Those five stars are for the little gems which you can prise from the 144 pages. Such pieces of invaluable information, will, I am sure make my life a little easier, and even fill me with a little of that 'Martha' feeling. If nothing else you can drool at the pictures of perfection that are some of Martha's 7 houses in the States. If you like to have attractive books for the coffee table that make your guests feel either inadequate or that you are some kind of angel homemaker then this is the book for you. It would also be great for the downstairs loo to delve into now and then in search of those precious gems.

Perfectly placed5
This book is a master piece of all things beautifully placed in the home. It's given me tons of ideas for oranising things in a beautiful way. The insides of my drawers and cupboards are looking perfectly pretty. Everything is labelled and my storage has glamour. Call me sad but I'm so impressed I managed to enjoy a job like organising.
