This book is absolutely and totally well worth buying.with fabulous illustrations and very readable guidance ,one can really grasp the beauty of thousands of years of art.
I would reccomend it as a really useful teaching resource and we will include it in our islamic resource boxes

Good for beginners
I would recommend this book for anyone looking at Islamic Art as a beginner or wanting to see detailed examples of historically relevant artefacts. Close-up images are used to illustrate relevant points on decorative elements. Some key concepts are also discussed, e.g. geometry, arabesque, calligraphy, etc.

Inspirational Islamic art
I bought this book for our embroidery group and it has lots of information and wonderful illustrations. would be happy to own it myself.
