INSPIRATIONAL
Another gorgeous book from Barbara Case. Full of great ideas for making your own jewellery with semi-precious beads with diagrams and photographs that are easy to copy. Most of the designs do not need a great deal of experience and are very wearable. There is also lots of info about the stones themselves and their properties. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in making jewellery for themselves or as gifts and looking for inspiration.

Great book for Experienced beaders!
I agree with the above review that this book is full of good ideas and inspiration. But I will not rate it 5 stars simply because many of the designs/projects do not come with detailed instructions. If you are a beginner looking for inspiration, then do browse through this book. But if you are looking for projects with specific, pictorial instructions, then I would not recommend this book.

However, for an experienced or advanced beader, this book is a visual and informative treat! If you know the techniques, the projects are easy to replicate. Barbara gives delicious tidbits of the historic, mystical and physical properties of various gemstones in this book. I would definitely recommend this book to an experienced or advanced beading enthusiast.

Making Jewelry With Gemstone Beads
Very inspirational -with many beautiful designs, lots of information on the gemstones (including costs,properties of the gems and much more). A very well written and researched book. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is interested in working with beads - many of the designs would work equally well with other beads but look outstanding with gemstones.
