Christine and Julie Ashford established their company, Spellbound Beads, in 1984 and gather beads from all over the world to offer their customers a really exquisite range. The shop is supported by a website and the team also travel to the major craft shows. Chief designer, Julie, produces lovely kits, with a suitably fantastic feel. Spellbound Beads is based in Staffordshire.

This book is full of wonderful exciting and different designs for people of all beading abilities. The diagrams and pictures are clear and easy to follow. I also liked the alternative colour schemes for each piece of work. The stories behind each piece of design added an extra dimension to each piece of work. I would thoroughly recommend this book and will enjoy making these desgins. Julie and Christine have written a really eye catching and inspiring book and if they write another book I will be first in the queue to purchase it.

Spellbinding Jewellery will probably appeal to some but it was the least interesting book I have ever bought on beadwork - far to arty clarty so given away to charity shop unused rather than take up space in my house
