Product Description

Starting high school is every bit as exciting, and challenging, as Alice had hoped, and feared, it would be. Classes are more interesting, though Patrick isn't in all the same ones. And she's thrilled to have been chosen to work on the school newspaper, even though it takes up most of her free time. But as she spends less time with her boyfriend, she realises the new girl, Penny, is moving in on him. Alice senses her relationship beginning to crumble - and with it her self-confidence. Could it be possible that Patrick likes someone else besides her?

Alice Alone5
Alice Alone is by far one of the best Alice books. It’s definitely for older girls (11+) because it deals with the more mature hardships of life. In this book Alice and her boyfriend Patrick split up. Why? All because a cute new girl called Penny stole his heart away. Penny makes Alice feel ugly and like she is not good enough for anyone including Patrick. Also, ninth grade is proving to be a lot harder that Alice or her friends could have ever imagined. But, Alice is not the only one who is lonely. Her brother Lester is currently signal and Alice thinks that he needs woman in his life so, she cooks up a plan for him to meet some "casual women friends" and invites women who used to be in prison for Thanksgiving! It proved to be a very funny Thanksgiving. Alice’s father visited Alice’s seventh grade English teacher Silvia Summers in Cheshire, England over the summertime and proposed to her he is over the moos about it. Just when things in Alice’s life are starting to look ok (not great but ok) she receives some UN settling news about Ms. Summers and her ex boyfriend. This is a must read for anyone who loves Alice!
