Customer Reviews

A must for any beginner5
As a child my Mum was always trying to teach me to knit, but I had no interest, considering it was for old fogies. Well, now that I am an old fogie myself (39) with little children, I thought it was probably time to learn to knit. Sadly my Mum was no longer around, so I had to search for a good book to teach me the basics. This book is wonderful. Not only are there some really fun little projects, but the instructions are very clear and precise - I had no idea that casting on was quite so easy! I've since moved onto more advanced projects, but I keep this book nearby for reference. This book is perfect for everyone who wants to learn to knit in a fun, clear and precise way. Brilliant.

Pattern Error?5
I recently purchased this book and was most pleased with it. The patterns are simple and the illustations are very good too. However, I'm not sure if its just me, but I tried to make the knitted flowers on page 52 and the pattern did not seem to be printed right. It is a pattern where you have to increase stitches and from 7 stitches they are supposed to increase to 13, I got only 10 which messses up the whole pattern! Did anyone else have the same problem? Or maybe I'm just following it wrong...?!... :(. Apart from that, the book is brill, and worth every penny!! :)

Beautiful book5
This is a beautifully presented and wonderfully inspiring book. I love knitting and always have knitted, but I had trouble introducing my (11yr old daughter) to knitting. Found this book and gave it to her, she loves it and has made several 'projects'. All her friends browse through and plan things to make. As it is so beautiful and fun to look at, it appeals to children and adults alike. The patterns are very clear and easy to follow.
