Better than Australian Options
My brother has just snaffled my copy so I have ordered a new one. The best road map for longer trips we have found.
Lost in Oz
Now my wife has this road atlas we should not get lost on our forthcomming trip to the land down under. Always assuming I can remember to listen to her directions and remember my right from my left.
Excellent mapping
I navigated with this atlas throughout a six week motorhome trip between Sydney and Adelaide and although I can't vouch for the rest of the country the parts of the maps that we used were excellent. The towns are all shown with a variety of scales so that from a distant overview you can gradually zoom in to a street map. Canberra, for example is shown on five different pages with increasingly larger scales and was brilliant for showing us how to get there, how to leave by a different route and how to find our way around in the city itself. There is a clear and easy to read index which is good if your eyesight, like mine, is not wonderful and there is a variety of other information included, as itemised on the front cover. I thought it was rather an expensive atlas when I bought it but as it turned out it was really worth it.
