Product Description

"Son of a Stitch 'n Bitch" is everything you need to know to knit and crochet for the men and boys in your life - from what men will and won't wear, body types and fit issues, choosing colours and fibres and texture, to how to adjust and adapt patterns for men. The 45 projects have a hip, contemporary urban feel - they are vetted by guys and are things that men will actually wear. This is the book that will put and end to "the curse of the boyfriend sweater."

A good offering...3
Let's be honest... there aren't many knitting books out there that are either aimed at male knitters or aimed at women who want a book of things to knit for their man.

In my opinion the patterns in this book are good... not amazing... but good none the less. I certainly think that if you know any male knitters who don't already own this book, that it would be a well-received gift.

If you're a female knitter looking to knit something for your man then you may get away with side-stepping the "boyfriend - jumper" curse by knitting something a little more funky from this book.

The style of the book is fun too, and the craft is presented in a positive manner. As long as you bear in mind that it's unlikely that out of a book of 45 patterns that you will like them all... then I feel this is a book that would sit well in most people's collections.

Sweater love4
I bought this book as I have enjoyed others in the series of SnB books. I was disappointed with the crochet designs as I thought they were a little uninspiring and basic. But, overall this book is a winner with me as I love the sweater patterns. The book has many of them and there are beautiful variations of classic and modern themes with lots of interesting stitches to play with. There is a really useful section at the beginning of the book about re-sizing, so I'm planning to alter a lot of these patterns so I can make them to fit me. My boyfriend will have a long wait before he gets a sweater of his own!

Are you kidding? Who would make this stuff???1
Cutesy names is what this book is counting on for you to purchase. Retropolitan Cardigan - what modern male would wear this Mr. Rogers like cardigan. If it was the 80s maybe.

I think the publisher is trying anything to make a revival of the one hit wonder.
