Gouldian Finches a Book worth Possessing
This is far more than a Pet Owner's Manual, it is a very comprehensive work; it includes Natural History, Gouldian Behaviour, Genetics, Diseases, etc., etc. Containing superb photographs, I can find little to fault, except that I would perhaps like better descriptions of the colours of the birds, to accompany the lovely photographs, and especially indicating the original colours; there is slightly more emphasis on mutations. This is such a good book, I wish it were also in hard back (better to preserve it), but then not everyone could afford it, and it is right that they should be able to do so.
Why, oh why was the type not justified, like all the best printed books, rather than being left ragged, like typescript?
Even the most experienced aviculturist should own and value this book.
