Weighty and wordy
I originally did a review for the 7th edition of this book where i praised everything about it. However, that was over a year ago and this edition ( virtually no difference from the 7th edition) has been released.

The first thing i would comment on is the size and weight of this book. If you decide to carry this book around with you at university you are likely to experience severe back and shoulder problems for the rest of your life. You will also find that due to the fact it doesn't even have a hard cover it slowly starts to disintegrate. Another problem is that due to its size it is akward to read anywhere except at a table. It is also very wordy which means it's hard to pull out main points at revision time .

Now the good points. The access to the website is still great, though it does only last a year. The renewel costs over $100 per year which is more than buying the book. The site has two versions of the book. An exact copy of the original and an abbreviated one which is good for revision. It also has loads of videos, mp3's,quiz questions and activities which are excellent.

Bioscience
It has arrived in a very good condition (unscratched) and it was a fast delivery service. Keep up the good work you doing.
