This book introduces a higher level of thinking to bonsai, It's a step on from most of the books on the market. I enjoyed reading about the exploration of form in the natural world and the origin of the 'styles' of bonsai. Most of the pictures are small and not of bonsai trees but real trees in different parts of the world. It does encorage you to notice and appreciate the natural forms that surround us but it's heavy going.
