Product Description

French girls always look so effortlessly chic. You never see them trotting around in tatty T-shirts and the like. The Left Bank Look is here to show you exactly how they do it, and how you can do it, too. The idea is simple: take plain, mass-produced basics from your closet - shoes, clothes, linens - and use easy DIY techniques and inexpensive materials to transform them into chic treasures inspired by design fresh from the streets of Paris. Dyeing, image transfers, painting, easy sewing - these techniques are so simple you could almost do them blindfold! Before you know it your items will look like they came from a boutique on the Rive Gauche, and strangers on the street will be admiring your style.

Customer Reviews

Disappointing1
Bought this book after reading a great review on one of my favourite home design blogs.

I am really disappointed with this book. Many of the projects instruct you to take whatever you want printed to an image transfer shop and have them do it. Which kind of defeats the purpose of buying a book of this sort.

How is this Left Bank chic? Considering how famous Paris is for it's "fait main" (made by hand) wares, this doesn't seem very authentic!!

Please don't waste your money!
