Product Description

Mysterious objects like quarks and quasars, strange mathematical symbols and complex speculations about the beginnings of the universe - all these things make the world of physics seem to be an exotic, even forbidding, realm. Yet everyday things we take for granted, from bicycles to microwave ovens, are the result of the development of this central branch of modern science.

Renowned science authority Dr. Isaac Asimov has taken the basic concepts of physics and grouped them logically into three best-selling volumes: Motion, Sound & Heat, Light, Magnetism & Electricity and The Electron, Proton & Neutron. All three are presented in this edition complete and unabridged, allowing the reader to trace the fascinating story of modern physics - the human search for rules that govern and describe the universe.

Customer Reviews

good book.5
This book as always with Asimov, is a classical piece of work.explanations are good and understandable. He pitches in the explanations just as you are beginning to get the doubt.Great book. The only criticism is that it could have done better with more pictures so the beginners would have loved it much more.
