Clematis and climbers1
Not impressed at all. Lots of style but no substance. You could get as much information as this book provides from any general gardening book with a section on climbers. It tells me how to put up trellis and construct various supports which are DIY tasks - I know you need them to support your climbers but in a small book why waste pages telling you how to do something that you probably either know or could make a pretty good stab at. The selection of plants at the back fails to mention whether or not the plant is decidious or evergreen (if you want to hide an ugly shed/outbuilding you need to know if your climber will have leaves all year round). The section on good combinations isn't combinations of climbers i.e. a good clematis to grow through a climbing rose it's combinations of climbers with other plants in a garden border. I found it very disappointing - nice pictures though.
