Handy but not the best by far2
This little book is very handy to keep in your bag whilst visiting Vancouver, as it is compact and light. It has good maps so it is definitely easier to carry than a bigger guide book, and it gives a fair overview of Vancouver.
However, the sites, restaurants, museums etc... that it rates as being top 10 are not always the best. They are certainly the top 10 tourist attractions and will send you to where all the other tourists have gone, but, as in the case of the Capilano bridge and area, these are not always the best things to see or do while in Vancouver. This may leave you with a wrong impression of this wonderful city.
My recommendation would be to buy the Time Out Vancouver city guide, which is a bit bigger and heavier, but with a wealth of useful info, tips and background about Vancouver. If you have some spare money, by all means, buy the Top 10 book as well as a handy carry-on, but I wouldn't advise using it as the only reference to Vancouver.
